Fisherman's Terrace Seafood (Aberdeen Centre) on Urbanspoon

It was an early morning start (at least in my books) and on this beautiful Saturday morning, we decided to go for Dim Sum at Fisherman’s Terrace Seafood Restaurant located inside of Aberdeen Centre.  It was early enough (9:30ish) that many of the stores in Aberdeen Centre did not open yet.  So ample parking was available.  If you’ve ever been to this mall, you would know what it’s like finding a parking space on a weekend is an absolutely pain.

We have heard many good things about this restaurant from friends, so we decided to give it a try.  Given the crowds there, I can see that it was certainly a popular destination for Dim Sum.  Service was friendly and we were quickly seated at our table.  (By the way, we did make reservations)

Kelong Singapore Cuisine on Urbanspoon

Our next outing took us to another restaurant in Richmond.  Would we find a hidden treasure this time?  Going for yet, another popular Asian cuisine we landed ourselves at Kelong Restaurant.  This was a Singaporean Restaurant located off of No 3 Road.  Upon entering, we were kindly welcomed and promptly seated at a table.

This was a suitable family restaurant with ample parking. Set in a very casual dining atmosphere, the restaurant appeared clean.  The table clothes were protected by overlying Plexiglas that sat atop pictures of ice creams.  I haven’t even looked at the menu yet and I already had the urge for desert. :-)

Kim Ga Nae on Urbanspoon

Whether you’re looking for a family dine out, a nice meal with a group of friends, or a couples evening out, Kim Ga Nae is one place to consider.  It is one of many restaurants hidden in a dine-out heaven in the city of Richmond.  First off, it’s very roomy inside with an open waiting area.  The restaurant is broken into two sections.  One area is designated for the Korean Barbecue (All-U-Can-Eat).  The other section is for ordering items straight from the kitchen.

Going for a “lighter” meal”, the family (my wife, two kids, and I) opted to order from the kitchen and picked a few items from the menu.  With any Korean meal, you are served some traditional starters; sweet flavoured  potatoes, bean sprouts, seaweed, and kimchi.  You can always get free refills if you want more (like the soda pop at McDonald’s).   :-)
